Under the Wing of the Mill

Unknown, 1913, 38 min
Young engineer Jameson quickly demonstrates his worth at his new workplace. Chief engineer Hooper is more interested in drinking whisky and chasing women than in making accurate calculations for the construction plans. Jameson quickly corrects this sloppiness, and his enthusiasm impresses both the foreman’s daughter Kitty and the manager, who promotes Jameson to chief engineer. Humiliated, Hooper plans his revenge! He manages to steal the employees’ wages and implicate Kitty. Once again Jameson must show what he’s capable of.

The film has English intertitles.

The production company Kinografen was established in 1906 by director Alexander Christian and the Royal Court photographer Peter Elfelt. The company provided cinema services, film rental and production. Just like ‘Under the Wing of the Mill’, most of the company’s films were long dramas.
